Tips from Journey of Yoga

The holiday season is here.

During November pause each day and give thanks for the simple things in life.

Thank God for the heaven above, the universe, the sun, the moon, the stars, the sky,
the air that you breath, the earth beneath your feet.
Give thanks for the roof over your head, the food that you have to eat,
the water that you have to drink, bathe in and cook with.
Give thanks for your health.
Give thanks for God's amazing creations: the plants, the animals, the humans.
Give thanks for your family, your friends, and the people you work with and for.
Add your own intentions of thanks.

During December keep the gift giving simple.

Consider doing something special for someone.
Recycle gifts or things you have around your house.
It is not an insult to get a used item...it is a tribute to saving our environment.
A piece of jewelry that has special meaning or that you don't wear anymore can make a wonderful gift.
Share a book that you have read and that is just sitting around.
